I have an issue with my 3pt system, it only runs off of an auxillary valve. i'm under the impression that some sort of modification has been done but i'm no expert on this subject. i got the control quadrant out, trying to free up the lever. everything seems to be in order except the stand pipe that goes up to the aux valve looks like it has been joined to the other lever assembly, so the only way the 3pt works is with the quadrant set to constant pressure and the aux valve operates it. does anybody see anything out of the ordinary in the pictures? the stand pipe does not come out of the assembly, that little splice box is welded onto stand pipe

On my older tractors the valve under the seat is locked for 3 point use. You then use the draft or position control lever as needed. My manual is in the shop but think that picture is showing a pressure control valve. My old tractor doesn't have it and I removed the control valve , i was not using any remote cylinders and like the room with out it. david

Had a somwhat similar problem with my 165. 3 point would not lift. The standpipe and welded block was rotated ccw (on top looking down)a bit keeping the linkages from moving.

Hello,
Can"t see anything wrong from the pictures. You mention that you have removed the quadrant. Have you refitted it yet? When refitted make sure that all of the linkages are straight and that the rollers run where they are supposed to, not on the edge or over it. Don"t forget the fine spring on the position control linksge.
To check the operation it would be better to have the hyd cover the right way up. You will see the vertical lever with the two knurled screws in it. With the lift arms in the "DOWN" position operate the POSITION lever as if to raise the 3-pt. Apply a gentle finger pressure to the bottom of the vert lever to push it away from the aluminium RESPONSE body. As you raise the quadrant lever the vert lever will be pushed forward into the pumping position. Have an assistant raise the 3-pt arms slowly. At a point relative to the position of the quadrant lever (eg halfway) the vert lever should move back to a middleish position as the pump is moved into neutral. This is due to the 3-pt having reached the position you have selected. If this does not happen there may be a problem in the linkage or adjustment or both.
