Model A fan styles

thanks for the reply. I have a 44 I am getting ready to rebuild the fan shaft and noticed it has the friction disks. So was just curious. It must have been upgraded at some point.

Since you didn't specify the model in that question, I know that the GP had a fan clutch at least by 1930.
