I have a 44A I am restoring. I currently have one wartime spoke cutoff ( in the market for one to match if anyone has a lead on one)...anyway I am re rimming the one I have and was cleaning the guts out of the hub and noticed the parts manual I have shows two felts and a felt retainer on the inside. My wheel only has one felt. Then the inner bearing and race. With no felt retainer I'm assuming it being a wartime hub it is different than the one in my parts manual. Was wondering if anyone knows if this setup is correct? When everything is put together the felt is flush to the inside of the wheel so I assume it's correct. Just curious I guess. Also any idea if the felts would be the same? I was going to order a new one. Bearings and races look fine so planned on using them
