I am in search of some manifold studs. The only one I can't find for my 44 is A2386R. John deere says it is now obsolete. Does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket stud? I thought about making my own but since these thread into the water jacket I don't want them to leak

Although not correct I put them back together with bolts rather than studs. If you ever need to get it back off, you don't have to pull the head or
fanshaft/governor in order to do it. To your point just make sure your bolts aren't too long so they don't hit the push rod tubes.

I have put bolts in on several tractors. That way if ever needed I can remove it without pulling the
head. Just watch the length and put sealer on the threads of the ones that go into the water jacket.

I used bolts on my B. Applied Permatex Ultra Copper to the threads and antisieze to the non threaded part of the bolts. Hasn't leaked yet

*I made studs for my H using stainless steel bolts and nuts. Cut the studs to the right length and
chased the threads in a lathe. The threads I cut were for the end that goes into head. It's called an
interference fit. Just cut them so that a nut goes on fairly tight, not with your fingers. Use a
little thread locker on the bottom end

I need a set for my 51 A and my H. Going to try Martin. BTW, I think only the Bs had pushrod tubes. There's also Allen's Fasteners but I can't seem
to find any suitable ones there.
