Picked up a model 2018 20' shredder.
The mounts for the wing lift cylinders have a part bolted on that doesn't appear to serve any purpose. The part is sort of an L shape,
really more like a question mark. I can find no mention of it in the operator's manual. JD parts calls it a strap, part # W42903. It is
loosely bolted onto the wing lift bracket with a bolt with a nyloc nut. The shape of the bracket prevents it from rotating, but if I were
to loosen the bolt, I could rotate it about 90 degrees. But in that position, it would interfere with the safely lock strap for the wing.
Any idea what the purpose is?
