Wouldnt a 4960 battery box and steps bolted to the side of a 4020 work good put two group 31 strongboxes in it and never worry about batteries for 12 years

My uncle kinda did that to ours except the box is homemade ahead of the fancy aftermarket steps. The engine oil filter barely clears since its ahead of it but that should be high enough not to be any trouble

I made up battery boxes for my 4020 and mounted it to my 158 loader with 2 group 31 batteries. One battery is from 2009 and the other battery is from 2012, this resolved my starting issues along with an inline Denso starter.

On my 4520 I made steps that incorporated 2 group 31 batteries.
