2630 PTO

PTO on the 2630 won't stop turning . I suppose brake bad. Difficult fix?

Mine did the same thing for 26 years. I just shut the tractor off to hook up PTO shaft.

At least you have a PTO. There is a 2630 sitting at my shop that has been here for over a year. We have searched hi and low, for the parts to repair it. NLA from Deere. Searched salvage yards from coast to coast. No one has anything to fix it. It has the 540 / 1000 option and very few were produced. I guess it will become a loader tractor with no PTO.

Does your tractor have(IPTO or dual-stage clutch)? IPTO has an internal brake band that requires tractor split to replace.

Earlier models like 2020 had a manual PTO engagement lever by the operator's left foot regardless of if the PTO was live (hydraulic actuated), continuous (two stage clutch pedal) or transmission driven.
