German 830, 3 cylinder, hydraulic tie in for loader

The 830 I have is serial #118388L, name plate shows it was made in Germany. I purchased this several years ago with a loader on it. The loader only works well with a load on the 3 pt. hitch. Without a load on the hitch the loader just operates in small, jumpy increments. There is a manual valve that allows flow to the loader. The three point will not operate when the valve is open. The three point works fine with the valve closed. I have shown some photos to try and clarify the above. Are there changes I could make so I wouldn't have to carry something around on the 3 point hitch / Thank you.[/img:c0ecb34e95]

All JD 830 utility tractors were built in Mannheim, Germany. Valve & plumbing in your photo is incorrect. Below is a photo showing how loader should be attached to your 830's hyd system.

Thank you for the reply. If you could bear with my ignorance, this opens a few more questions.I have uploaded a photo which shows the apparent return line under the tractor. Is it safe to assume that this is line 8 in the drawing you posted ? I also posted a photo of the valve on the loader. The line on the right is the supply and the one on the left is the return that goes under the tractor in the previous photo. Could this be the wrong type of valve for this system ? Thank you for your assistance.

Even though I can't envision any drawbacks from using ported filter cover JD didn't recommend utilizing ported filter cover on tractors with open center hyd's such as your 830. Line "8" in photo I posted attaches to a n opening on LH rear top of trans case.
