3010 steering

Working on another diesel 3010. Used it to drill in some seed and the steering was fine. Went to move it after setting for a few days and the steering is acting up. First it would turn right fine and turning left there was no power steering then it changed to left had steering right doesn't. Throttling up while not moving doesn't help, but moving with it will start to steer more normal but not quite right. Do you think this is the steering valve going out or is there another valve I should be looking at? This tractor was pretty abused when I got it so just working through the issues as they come up. Thanks

My guess is piston seals in steering motor under fuel tank have failed. One can renew these seals by removing frt axle & 1 side frame. Steering motor spindle also needs to be removed & pistons/spindle timed upon reassembly

Do a little trouble-shooting?? Bleed the steering valve under the dash.. Easy to
do; see what happens???

It MAY be worth considering replacing the unique/overly complicated Deere valve that not many know how to properly service anymore with a modern ''Orbitrol'' steering valve conversion.

I'm NOT sure if the parent company of this side, A.S.A.P. sells them, otherwise, GOOGLE ''3010 Deere steering valve conversion''.
