JD 530 tractor

Tractor is hitting on one cylinder only. I haven't had time to check it out but am thinking plug or points.

Plug Maybe But if the points were bad, neither plug would fire.

Switch plugs from side to side. See if the problem follows the plug.

Did it get a new dist. cap recently? The reason I ask is that I put a new one on my 420 and was sent the wrong cap and it would start and run great on one cylinder. New correct cap resolved that.
