The alternator warning light on the dash has come on upon starting this tractor and has never come on before. Mechanic was checking out the AC and when he started the tractor the light came on and had never came on before. He checked out the alternator and told me it was overcharging which is what activated the warning light. However, the light would go out when rpm's were dropped below 700. So....I purchased a new alternator and installed it but the warning light came back on upon start-up of the tractor. Checked the batteries and they are OK; drop down into yellow when a load is applied but rise to normal when load is removed. What can be causing this?
