TSX-245 carb

I need help.
My 420 JD's carb is leaking.....I took it off...the carb.....hoping I could See where...it Seems that the gas is just running through it...it had a lot of gas in it when I finally got it off.....

It had ran for just a few minutes and needed to be choked...BUT finally just died.....the carb was rebuilt and has very few hours on it...the tractor SITS a lot...I have just gone out and cranked it on occasion....

Could this be the float sticking?...do I need to take the carburetor APART to check out the float?....will I need new gaskets?..... how will I KNOW if the float is Stuck Or Sticking...

The TSX 245 carb is for the smaller M & 40 tractors. The 420 should be using the TSX 641 or TSX 688. Don't know how you got the hose from the air cleaner to attach to the smaller carb. Tom Ziegler

My guess is if gas was just running out of it that the needle valve on the float is stuck and not closing. You may be able to free it up by taking the carb apart with the 4 corner bolts and moving the float up and down.
