The engine ser # and tractor ser # are in different series if that's what you're asking.

Just wondering because they are fairly close

My guess is the reason 3020 VIN & engine serial #s are close to the the same digits is because that 4 cylinder engine was only placed in a 3020 IE no other applications such as combines.
