4410 jerky hydraulics and now won't move

Our 4410 with hydro drive has been a great tractor but lately it's been acting up. The hydraulics have been jerky and the steering is as well. Noticed it last fall so I parked it and bought all of the fluid and filters needed to do a full service. Today I fired it up and got it down the hill to the shop but when I tried to go up the drive way it stopped and that's where she sits. Check the owners manual and saw mention of a suction side filter clog being a possible cause so I thought heck I'll change that one now just to get it up the hill. Removed old filter, didn't look too bad and the fluid is brownish gold, not bad really. Put some fluid in the new filter and filled to upper part of sight glass. Starts great but didn't even try to move now. Bucket is best described as "sporadic", so possibly air in the system? Is there a way/need to bleed the hydraulics?

Thanks

Brian CA

If screen in photo hasn't been checked/cleaned lately then that's what I suggest to do

OK thanks for that, I went to Tractor Supply and bought more hydraulic fluid so I can change it out completely when I have the screen off. I will report back when I get the screens cleaned.

I have seen this before. This may sound odd but test will pin point your problem if it has this symptom. Get off tractor and rock
it back and forth and see if transmission and hydraulic functions return? If it does there is a intermittent charge pressure leak
to sump. If you find this is true let me know and I will tell you the rest of the story. DW

Well it took me quite a while to get back on this project, and the boss wasn't too happy about having a broken tractor in the middle of the driveway but we made it ok until I could work on it today.

Here's a photo of the screen that a few of you correctly suggested to clean. No need for any further words from me, the picture says it all...

Happy to report it's running great now.
