2040 Hydraulic issues.

I have a John Deere 2040 with no hydraulic function following steering column replacement. I had a seal failure in the column and had a local machine shop rebuild the column. Following re-installation and hydraulic fluid exchange, I cannot get hydraulic function at the steering column for power steering, or the loader SVCs. Screen was found filthy and cleaned. Fluid is full and clean.
Looking for advice on further troubleshooting, thanks!

To add: Hydraulics functioned flawlessly prior to pulling the column, just had a major fluid loss at the top of the column.

Do you have hydraulics if you turn the steering wheel all the way to the limit either direction? I had a spool go
bad in the power steering go bad one time and the hydraulic oil was bypassing through it right back to the
reservoir.

If your tractor was manufactured for sales in N America & has a 3 cyl engine is serial# below 266,750(open center hyds)or above 266,750(closed center hyd's). If after SN 266,750 then cap steering supply line & if steering valve is at fault hyd's should operate correctly.

Don't cap steering supply line & start engine if tractor SN is below 266,750

Advice?

I'd suggest contacting the people who worked on the valve. The issue is probably right there.
