If this was just done by John Deere and the result at installation, I would be talking to the shop that did the work before doing anything else.

Can't go wrong sending the unit to Tim S. Don't know what your turn around time will be based on where you are shipping from but you will get a tight functional unit sent back.

For the coupler it is pretty straight forward.

If it is all original not much to check except the integrity of the metal on the coupler and screws to make sure nothing is cracked. Torque is only 20-25 depending on what screws you have.

If it is a 2 piece link you will want to replace the bushings and obviously check link again for metal wear or fatigue ... some ppl let them go so long that even new bushings wont fix it.

Can also check stud screws for the coupler coming from hydraulic pump shaft and crank for wear or looseness.

After that get into unusual things like shaft bearings for hydraulic pump causing eccentric motion and premature wear but I think you would be seeing leak from hydr pump at that point.
