Shaver post driver

I picked up a Shaver 3 point post driver for pasture expansion. It does not seem to work well when run through the hydraulic remotes. I have seen a return line plumbed to the hydraulic filter drain plug of a 2355N, but where would the best return location be on a 5400/5500?

Thanks in advance!

Hydraulics on 5400 or 5500 are ''open center'', so it is not critical where function oil is returned vs. the ''closed center'' hydraulic system of the 2355.

I don't know what port may be available to return the oil ''to sump'', though.

Probably should check into a ''power beyond kit'', or look at one with a loader and see how they connect the loader valve.

A post driver needs a large nonrestricted
return. They need to dump the oil fast in other
words. Shaver has a kit for valves to
switch from or to open and or closed
systems. Shaver made return line adaptors
for the fill plugs and other large
openings on multiple tractor brands.
Perhaps give them a call.
