I am currently putting my 44 A back together. I am not overly familiar with 2 cylinders. I put the clutch fork assembly on the other night and noticed the brake pad arm is a sloppy fit on the fork shaft. Which I assume was the case from the factory as there is no bushing in the brake arm. The problem is the inside of the brake pas is sitting on the pulley itself. I thought about taking it back off and maybe installing a brass bushing to take up some slop. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. Not sure how far the pad should sit from the pulley. But I assume it rubbing isn't normal.
