Yes,, and I use Quad rings in the rest of the lower end.

I ground a small groove into the edge of a long small screw diver to help guide the o-ring into place..

Any chance you could post a picture? I bought a set of those spoon style seal picks they sure help but with my eye sight the way it is Im afraid that my coupler sealing days are soon behind me . Ive got 3 more sets to do but Im not sure Ill try to do them or not
