I have a 1944 A I am restoring. When I got the tractor it was missing the lower water pipe. I am having trouble finding a replacement. Part number is A2377R nothing comes up when I search it. I would make a new one but don't have access to a pipe bender does anyone have any info on this on why I can't find these?

Yes I have the cast piece on the bottom of the radiator and found the flange that bolts to the bottom of the head. Just can't find the pipe. I can't tell if there needs to be a bend in it or not. I don't have access to another A of similar serial numbers to find out

I haven't worked on one that old. All
that I have seen used a piece of radiator
hose on each end of a straight tube. My
son has an auto repair shop and he makes
them out of exhaust tubing. He swells the
ends a little to make the rubber hose fit
better. Then they have to be painted
green. It's not a critical fit, so I
would think that they didn't change much
over the years. I remember thinking that
the Deere pipe was a little pricey.

Link to photos.

Looks like it has a slight bend near one end.

Lacking a way to make the bend, a person could notch the pipe, bend it to close the notch and weld it and get pretty close, I would think.

them pipes are obsolete. i made 2 of them for my AR's at the muffler shop. plus the ends need to be expanded. i stood right there with the
guy and my calipers. i can post a pic of the 2nd one i have if it would help anything. they are brazed in, i cleaned it all up and used JB
weld and it worked perfectly.

and yes there is a slight bend in the pipe.

(quoted from post at 08:05:56 04/18/23) here is the bend. its 2 3/4 pipe expanded to 2 7/8 for the cast end.
