Well advertised auction in Rice MN. By and large it brought good prices yet some were surprisingly low and some were just weird. The JD E engines were at the upper end of the price range, an IH LB 1 - 1 1/2 hp not running but had reservoir cap and mag brought $300, which is normally top dollar for a running one up here. Sale was both on line and in person. One on line buyer paid $800 for a 200 bu gravity box in fair shape but was from Texas.

So here is a list of what I wrote down. Didn't buy anything myself.

Syled JD A. year unknown, $1300
Allis WD Single hydraulic, two point lift $2000
JD 45 Square back, cab, 2 row corn head, would not start, $300.
8630 Ran but no FWD, sold as parts tractor. 1 bid for $3000
JD 22x36 Separator, stored inside $3,500
JD 25 with gas engine, pull type combine $200
3020 NF diesel, hours unknown, looked good $8250
1939 H running good paint $1,700
1929 D good paint, spokes on rubber $4500
1952 R good paint, both engines run, banded duals $6500
1949 M good paint $5250
1953 60 good paint NF $2500
1953 60 good paint NF aftermarket 3 pt $3000
1949 AR older paint $4500
1945 B older paint $1250
1947 A older paint not running $500
1953 50 original paint $600
JD/Dain hay press excellent condition $4000
JD L manure spreader restored $3000
1939 Unstyled B, original patina running $1000
Steel rear and front wheels for a D $900

But the one that stole the show, I thought, was a JD 40 SP round back open station combine with a 10' straight head that looked to be field ready. Bidding began at around $1400 and went up in $100 increments until it sold for an astounding $6000.

One guy spent $1100 on a PTO driven saw rig that was capable of 16' logs, which included the trolley and everything and had a 48" blade. He then paid $850 for a spare blade.

John Deere 40 square back went for $23,730 auman online auction on Thursday

Nice to see the prices on combines finally catching up
with the collectors a little a combine is fifty times
neater to look at than a painted up tractor I think
anyway . You cant buy a combine like that at any price
here theyve all been sent to scrap
