148 loader/pallet forks

Does anyone have experience, or suggestions for adding pallet forks to a 148 loader? I have seen forks that just clamp onto the bucket. My
concern is the bucket may bend?? I'm wondering if going with an quick attach face plate system may be a better idea?? We also may be
looking to use a bale spear as well for large-squares.

Hayspear.com sells several different adapters. I would recommend putting a quick attach on your loader. One of these days that's what I'm going to put on my 48 loader.

It is very difficult to see what you are doing with pallet forks used in front of a loader as big as a 148, and the problem is much worse using forks attached to a
a bucket. If you are loading or unloading pallets, it's pretty much a two person operation as you can't see to get the forks under the pallets. And if you walk through the used equipment yard at your local tractor jockey's place, you won't have any trouble figuring out which loader buckets someone tried to use clamp on pallet forks on.
My bale spear has two large spears instead of the old single big spear, and I use it to move trees, tree limbs, brush, etc. The spears are a little wide for using to unload pallets, but I can do it in a pinch.

I chain a fork to my bucket and it works good on 3x4 and 4x4 and big round bales 3x3 bales it doesnt work because you cant see the bale to tell where your forks are . I also have a set of pallet forks that clamp to my bucket they are fine for what I do if you are unloading a semi load of pallets you will need two people to get the forks in the pallet I get them close then I can stand up and see where the ends of the forks are and just to get in the pallet .
