John deere 5520

I just had my John deere 5520 clutch replaced at the local dealer. They changed everything pto clutch traction clutch and throw out bearings and new flywheel. They put it back together and put it on a dyno and now the pto makes a grinding noise when it s loaded down. With nothing hooked to pto it s quiet. It didn t do this before the clutch. Has anyone ran into this issue?

I do not know anything specific about that model.
Applying common knowledge of a double purpose
clutch it is a possibility that something was not aligned
properly during reassembly. Then possibly too much
force was applied by the bolts that hold the tractor
sections together placing force on something such as
the PTO drive shaft that transfers the power back from
the clutch. Then this may have pushed a bearing or
gear back damaging something or causing improper
alignment which in turn causes the noise. This is just a
possible scenario. It is always ideal to stay on good
terms with your machinery or vehicle dealers and
mechanics. It is not out of line to make sure they
properly repair something they may have caused. They
know a certain percentage of work they do is going to
have problems and they are accustomed to dealing
with it.

Just an update. The dealer that worked on it got it figured out. It was an adjustment issue. The cable was adjusted back to where it should be by the manual but it wasnt fully engaging the clutch. New cable and they hooked it to their dyno and it never slipped anymore and the noise was not there.

They ate the cost of the cable and they popped the back cover from the pto shaft to check the bearings and didnt see any issues. Said the old cable was stretched maybe and couldnt be adjusted to make a firm engagement on the clutch and caused it to slip on there dyno
