Model A clutch drive disc

I went to re install my pulley/ clutch assembly today and noticed a crack on the clutch disc side of the clutch driver. Obviously wouldn't want this breaking while operating the tractor but since I don't know a lot about these would it be acceptable to install it? Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.

Keep in mind that if a facing piles up in a JD A clutch it will not release. I can't see your disk, so I am not sure how bad the facing is. Be careful.

(quoted from post at 08:41:54 04/03/23) Is your crack in the clutch driver itself, or in the disc?
it is on the face of the clutch driver itself. I took your guys advice and found a used one at a local salvage yard today. When I got it home I noticed it has the same casting number but the outer portion is different the original I took out is solid all the way around and the new one I got today is slotted. The best way I can explain it sorry.. any idea why? Also the new one has some sort of pin inside of the splined part that keeps it from going onto the crankshaft all the way. Old one has one but appears to be broken off. I assumed this was so it can't go onto the crank the wrong way but it keeps it from being pressed on enough? Can someone explain that

I'm assuming some model A crank shafts had a spot for that rivot to sit into but my crank does not

Some pics and the part # would help us. Been a while since I have been into my A's clutch.
I will take some pictures when I get home. The part number is A2448R the new driver I picked up has a rivot inside of the splined area assuming some cranks have an indent of sorts that that rivot is supposed to be lined up with but my crank does not. Was looking for some input before I just go grinding down the rivot. Making sure that it's the correct clutch driver

Been a while since I've been in one also, but didn't some of them have a V mark on them, and also one on the crankshaft that you lined up? Or am I thinking of something else?

Yes the crank is marked with a v and the driver also has a mark. But the rivot won't allow the driver to be pressed all the way on the crank shaft

About 40 years ago I was doing a routine clutch facings replacement on my dad's 47 A. At that time it was just used for dragging the lane and as a loader tractor for odd jobs. The driver disc had a remarkably large
crack in it. The inner and outer facings were worn about the same and neither was damaged. We just put it back together with the crack unaddresssed and it got along fine until I sold it after he passed away. If it
was going to be a true working tractor pulling loaded hay trailers silage wagons etc I sure would have dome something about it.
