Does anyone have any information on what companies made loaders for the 40 crawler besides John Deere. I am looking at buying a crawler with loader and it does not look like any I have seen before. This one has two lift cylinders and two dump cylinders. The pump is a crank driven hydraulic pump with a tank on the back fender for fluid.

Any info is appreciated.

Pictures?

I don't have a picture. I did find one on jdcralwers site of a MC that has the same loader. Kind of a small grainy picture but it gives you an idea.

The undercarriage on this 40C I am looking at is in great shape and my main interest in the machine. I think if I can make a deal for it I would pull the loader off even and search for a blade.

If Lavoy sees the picture, he might know the details of it since it is on his website. You could go there and ask him in case he doesn't happen to see this post.

Back in that time frame loaders and attachments were made by a number of long since gone small outfits and others were modified on the farm. Bucyrus Erie, Carco, Greenville Steel Car, Wagner, and Westendorf were just some that got put on crawlers. The one in the picture is certainly different. It will be interesting to hear what it is, if you get an identification of it.
