JD B Power Lift

My '39 "B" no longer lifts my implimemt quite high enough. It's a power lift, has oil, works okay but now, since yesterday, comes up just short enough to where I can't lock my impliment so to release the lift. Any ideas?

The single time I ran into this issue, there wasn't enough oil. Off the top of my head I can't recall how many qts the Power Lift requires.

To add what is below. Yes probably low on oil but also then check your transmission oil. Probably high. Seals between the 2 start to seep and that is where oil
disappears to. Seals are on the PTO shaft.

I agree with the previous replies. Another place where hyd. oil can leak is the gasket on the lift
cylinder. To replace this gasket and the pto seals requires removal of the rockshaft housing.

The gasket p/n is B467R or B1151R depending on the power lift serial number.
The seal p/n is A668R. Two seals are required.

The oil is where it should be in the tranny and the lift, not high nor low in either. I'm hoping there might be an adjustment in the power lift to control the amount of lift, since it has worked okay for lots of years.
