John deere A oil lines

Ok this might be a stupid question. I am currently putting the crankcase back together and was wondering about the oil line fittings not having any type of thread sealant on them. Obviously not the "flare" side of the fitting but straight pipe thread side. Seems like it would leak and cause a loss of oil pressure? Just wanted to make sure before I continue with putting the crankshaft in

(quoted from post at 18:08:41 03/15/23) If they are the original one's, don't worry about them. They will seal.
They are original but I took all of them out of the pump and filter head. To clean everything really good so wasn't sure about sealing

(quoted from post at 04:36:41 03/16/23) The spherical shape of the gland seals to the taper of the fitting. Just be sure to hold the fitting while tightening.
Right I understand that the part of the fitting that goes into the oil line is sealed I was wondering about the part that threads into the pump and oil filter head. They are just straight pipe threads
