Rings

Ive got a 36 model A that needs rings so I took it
apart and it has aluminum high compression pistons in
it. Where do you find rings for pistons when you dont
know what kind they are. They have 0.90 stamped on
them but thats all. Any info is appreciated.

At one time, you could by rings direct from Hastings based on measurements, contact them and check if you still can

X 2 on the Hastings recommendation.

An automotive machine shop that's been around a while should have a Hastings catalog showing rings by application & by size. If you are unable to order by application they should be able to help you figure out what you need if you take your pistons to them along with your bore size.

How wallowed out is the cylinder bore ?
Is there a ridge lurking at the top of the bore that the new rings are going to smack into ?

Depending on how well you want the tractor to run . It is 100% guaranties that the cam and followers have some wear .
A decent cam shop can restore the cam and even make it match the pistons .
