hello, MR. TIM & others, a friend has a 7800 JD tractor,with cab,, the dash readout is soo weak he can hardly read it. you gave the name & phone # for a company out west that repairs such things. i have misplaced the name & phone #. do you still have the info??

I had heard of a company that could repair instrument readouts but could not find them in my search for you.
There are people who can refurbish dash units. Seach google: john deere instrument rebulding.

JD Dave - try Ag Express, I emailed them some years ago about the dash in my Dad's Bulldozer when I was doing some work on it and they didn't know if they would be able to fix it for us but said ship it to them and they'd take a look at it, and they sent it back working. Looks like they fix many items and they were great to work with and with a good turn around time. Ryan

Try Ag Express in Sulfur Springs Indiana. They can fix your problems. Probably a little slow turn around now because close to planting season. Have had good results with them in the past.

A good electronic shop can do it. The old guy that runs ours fixes anything with electronics. A dim display is usually just a small capacitor and possibly the transistor that drives it.

There is a full 12V across the dash input ? No hidden voltage loss from a good looking but yet faulty connection or wire ?
