Looking to get a newer jd tractor for a piece of property m niece and I own.

Can be worked on w/o taking to dealer
Has enough heft to move round bales or decent logs with loader
Do any of the new deeres fit the bill? Or if used what year range?
My 98 ford 3930 has difficulty handling 5x5 bales my wore stf out jd2040 has no problem with them. It seems like they've kept the hp but decreased the capabilities.
