front mount step for john deere 60

a couple years ago I wanted a front step for my IH560. I went to Ebay and looked at different ones and found one that would work. It is actually a rear step for a JD

Never quite understood why someone would want to mount one of those from the front. By the time you climb over the flywheel or belt pulley and get around the headlights, it seems it would be a whole lot handier to just get on from the back. Or am I missing something?

Always have mounted my standard tractors from the front, don't see any other way ( 60std and 70std gas and diesel). Always mounted our 630 from the front as a kid IIRC.

Yes they they are a perfect match for a 60 or any other Deere one might have. I've always mounted
the 2 cylinder with a front axle step. I might dismount from the rear from time to time. We have
frt steps on everything here except the M & my 420 crawler. As years go by I use steps & no jumping
off...

NO you are not missing anything. Don't see how you could
possibly get on one from the front. Same way for A, B and AR.

Back only. I have crauled over the front mount cultivators
using the cultivators but could not do it with out them.
