Model A piston question

Was wondering if anyone has any experience with using aluminum high comp pistons in their tractors. I recently came across a .045 over, magnufluxed block with .045 over high comp pistons for my A. Not necessarily looking for extra power just came across this and it seems like a decent deal. Question is, is the little extra compression bad for these older cast engines? Would I be better off finding .045 over cast iron piston?

Can t speak for the 60 . However the Aluminum pistons in the 5-3 power-bloc in our 50 . At some particular RPM s , she gets the shakes .
A set of 60 LP pistons and a reground cam to match . It will add some snort to an A and still be reliable .

I've put together a 44a with mw style high
compression pistons and currently working
on a g that will have them. I can't say
anything negative about them. Lp pistons
might be a good option but finding good
ones these days might be tough. If the
price is right and the parts are in good
shape id say go for it

Had them in 49 B and 51 A for over 25 years and no problems.
Tractors were the big horses.
