08, 5203, FEL, 4x4, 750hrs. Tried starting Monday, cold weather
20* didnt warm glow plugs. Engine turned over just fine, no
start, tried again no start. Turned the key a third time, nothing. I
can hear a click but wont turn over. Had battery checked out,
new last summer, checked OK. Been reading manual but cant
figure it out. Any advice before I have to call the J/D mobile
service at $190/hr. Thank you.

I suggest to check for a blown fuse. The cold start sensor in photo has a long history of failure which causes blown fuse. Disconnect sensor if fuse is blown then attempt to start after replacing fuse.

The Deere is alive. Jim, you were spot on, after disconnecting
the sensor and replacing the 10amp fuse it fired up. Deere
dealership wanted $63 + $25 shipping. Got it for $20 + free
shipping. Sensor will be here on the 7th. Thanks for the advise,
a YouTube video also confirmed your suspicions.

I wonder how many of those &#@!*& things
have failed and cost the owner BIG bucks
for a service call! They are an evil
little device!

Sensor already on order so will install but so much stuff in the way. May be an all dayer just getting to it.
