70 Standard Decals

Looking for a High Low decal that was under the hi lo shifter on the 70 standard. Jorde's does not have them. No one seems to know anything about them.

RB70D....I collect JD 70's and have many with original paint and decals. I have never seen hi/lo decals by the transmission shift lever. What leads you to think there should be decals there???

I am not a collector of 70's but know & ran many & never seen a decal hi/lo for the trans. If Jorge doesn't have or list it,I bet money there never was one.

RB70D.I have three 70 standard diesels that have original paint and decals. I will check them closely tomorrow to see any sign of decals by hi/lo transmission lever. Could it be a former owner applied an after market decal to remind him which is which? You might have a one of a kind non-factory decal(s).

Please post a picture. Didn't the 70's have an H and L cast into the transmission cover? I believe my 70 row crop gas does, unless I'm mistaken it for my G...

Almost true. I asked about a patent sticker for a JD tractor from him, based on an original at the JD expo and he says he doesn't bother with that one. Given that, I wonder how many others he doesn't produce.

The standards have a sheet metal piece that covers the base of the hi/lo shift lever, so it kind of makes sense that they would have put a decal(s) on that cover. I just have never seen any..yet!

At one time I purchased the patent decals from K & K. There is one on the right side near the pto housing and one on the left frame rail ahead of the flywheel cover. Not sure how accurate the text/numbers are but they were the right size. IMHO Jorde's have air of arrogance and indifference in response to decal questions, that's why I do not buy from them..

I have to agree about Jorde being either arrogant or indifferent. I was asking about a set of safety decals he made for a 12 forage harvester at a show. They were white letters and I asked why he chose that instead of yellow? Just got a nasty reply with an added who even cares. I have several older always shedded implements and the green cross for safety decals were yellow but I thought maybe different factories used different decals. I was just asking to learn something not make a big deal out of it. Tom

I have restored several tractors with Jorde Decals going back several years. They have been great to work with, will answer any questions and the decals are of high quality.
