4020 24 V gen light resistor

hello, mr TIM & others,, what is the resistance for the generator lamp resistor?? 24 volt system, deere wants about $80. can i hook up another gen. lamp bulb in series ??

The resistor is around 50 Ohms. A second bulb in series would work.

I double checked with the Service Manual, 50 Ohms is correct.

Thanks, wore out, i did not find the spec. in the 4020 tech. manual. i have been fixing JD tractors 55 years,, are you a JD tech??

Nope, NOT an official DEERE tech.

Been repairing alternators since the 70's and have a considerable amount of experience wrenching on green stuff, tho, other colors, as well.
