Sad state of affairs

About 12-13 years ago I bought a wreck of a 39 B and spent 6 years scrounging parts and putting it back together. I painted a lot of it while it was apart but still had some painting to do. Shed roof came down on it after heavy snow and smashed it up a bit. I traded the tractor to a contractor to tear down the shed and he never came to get it. This was maybe 3 years ago. I got it running for him 2 different times, and he never showed up. Always rocked the flywheel a few times when I would walk by it but that has been several months now. Now she is stuck. What a shame. A new muffler, steering wheel and seat bracket is all it needed and now?? Wish is was gone so I didn't have to see it sit there and turn to junk.

Well it's easy to say this, but it's true; you'll never regret taking the time and effort in getting it done right, now, even
tho it's a PITA. As the next few years go by, you'll be glad it's done right, even tho you are discouraged right now, fed up,
tired of it.... I'd encourage you to get her done right.

Alas, it doesn't belong to me anymore it belongs to the guy that tore down my shed. Last time I got it running for him I decided that was the last time I was going to mess with it. Now it sits, outside, stuck engine and currently in a blizzard.
As I said, sad state of affairs. I am just going to move on.

SELL IT AGAIN!!!! Quit holding on to it. I've sold several things twice because the first guy didn't want to show up. The shame is on you.

I would agree with what's been said. If you're uncomfortable doing that, then give him one more deadline--"If it's not gone by (pick a date), I will be selling it to someone else"! Then DO it!

Reminds of seeing an old piece of equipment and
trying to buy it but its not for sale then the owners
die and the kids send it to scrap

If it has been inside or exhaust covered I bet it would be easy to unstick .Hylift jack stuck in one of the flywheel holes will get the easy ones loose .

Good method. I did something similar to a stuck 1942 B in 2021 and it freed up easily. It had been sitting outside for several months with sheet metal removed and exhaust open.

Thanks folks. I decided that it is mine again and went out, pulled the plugs and dumped some Kroil and 10-30 into the jugs. With a little coaxing I got it to turn over. Very happy about that and don't think any damage was done. In the Spring I'll drag it into the shop and add it to my list of projects.

I had a '39 BN in the stable. It was a pretty capable little parade unit.

With the lack of electric start, you might want to remove the plugs and tow it around in top gear for a while to clear those cylinders once the weather improves.

Either way, I envision lots of Autolites in your future until it has been hot and running for a while.
