New Green Baler Video....

Absent Minded Farmer

This video surfaced while digging through the Gehl collection. It is on a tape, together with a video for a CaseIH centerline baler & a MF 200 baler. This may have been circulated in house when they were looking for a square baler to add to the lineup & eventually went with MF.

It's great to see the slow footage of the knotter in operation. I'd like to do that with my red baler, but the camera to do something like that it exceptionally expensive. Like.... could use the money to build a very nice house, expensive!

Enjoy!!

We had a 24T back in the 60s until it self destructed. Went through a couple of NH balers that were POS. Then the local JD dealer brought out a 347 for us to try around 1980. Long story short, that baler didnt leave the farm until 2001 and it only got replaced by a 348.

Glad you enjoy the vids!

The IH filmstrips on my channel are from my collection, the JD & Case combine ones are courtesy of tomstractorsandtoys & his collection (there's more coming from that one). The VHS videos that are being posted now are from the archive at Gehl, part of which went to the Richfield (WI) Historical Society in 2019. They sat for a year & then I became the archivist.... if you want to call it that. Currently I'm still scanning slides & negatives while doing the VHS conversions. The archiving job itself is a little ways off into the future, which gives me a head start.

Not sure how many strictly Green videos there will be, but the Gehl equipment usually has a Deere on the draw bar now & again. Especially after the '60s. I'll post back here if there is anything directly pertaining to Deere. Otherwise, I post up on the tractor board from time to time.

Thanks . I watched a Gehl video after watching the baker video then watched the 3020 4020 video and f145h plow video I guess the h refers to hybrid ?

They kept using the word hybrid a hybrid between w drawn plow and integral plow the new John Deere f145h plow . I have heard people say they h means hillside but there was no mention of hillside ever in that video
