Hydraulic hook up

I unhooked backhoe from my 1987 john deere, I then lost power steering and 3 point lift, I hooked the lines that was hooked to backhoe so it completed the loop but no luck

You didn't mention the model, but, likely it has a ''closed center'' hydraulic system and the disconnected lines need to be capped off (or just left as-is if the have hydraulic couplers on them), rather than being ''looped'' as you have done.

Post back with the model, and someone will know for sure.

It a 1987 John Deere 1050. It didn t work when I first unhooked it. So I did the loop to see if that work and no luck. There is an extra line that looks like it has not been hooked up for a while.

John Deere backhoe attachment? If so,
chances are you can look at the manual
online at John Deeres web site. Just need
the model number. And it's FREE!

Your ''1050'' is NOT ''closed center'' so the lines should NOT be capped off.

If you first tried it with the lines NOT looped it is possible a hey was sheared in the hydraulic pump drive.

Some photos of were the lines originate would be helpful, including the third, mystery line.
