JD 60 starter

Repairing delco starter #1108950 on one of the 60's . The commutator brush holder is damaged,needs repair on brush holder assy . Where can a person get a parts breakdown and part numbers? Also need bushings, rest is good. Also would like to get parts for 4450 starter Wilson Denso #0280003292 breed. Need brushes and brg,bushings for it. Also parts for 35MT Delco used on 4430 and others. Need good parts source for these units. Appreciate any info.

If no local starter and generator shop you can look up most if not all those parts at https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/.

Some will still be available from DEERE.

When you look up the starter for the old ''60'' many of the part numbers will be Delco part numbers you can search for on the 'net.

You can look up Wilson Auto Electric e-Cats on the 'net and get a Bill of Materials for most/many starters, as well.

I can appreciate that you might like to tinker and if that's the case carry on. But i have to ask if you just want it fixed, is it worth all of this when you could send the starter out and have it rebuilt by a pro? Just saying!
