I am reposting this because i called the part I wanted a roll pin when it is actually the rear pivot pin on a 56 jd 45 loader. JD says part is obsolete. I am looking for one if anyone has a suggestion. Also, I need a breather for the cylinder. Pivot pin part number is Y 1826 C Breather is either Y 1873 C or L 2163 C. Thanks.

I am not familiar with that pin but I suspect you could make one out of hard bolt or hitch pin. Should be able to get similar breather from hydraulic shop

I tried doing some searching online for your pin (with Deere and others) and didn't see anything either. I did find a couple other pins from Deere that they do still sell that are close to that pin. Same diameter (1 1/8 inches) and have snap ring grooves on both ends. The only difference is the effective length, or distance between the inside of the snap ring grooves (yours is 2.5 inches). As long as you have a washer/spacer they could probably work.

P65142 - This one is 2.82 inches between the grooves (it is also drilled for a grease fitting in the end of the pin, maybe good, maybe bad).
A73158 - This one is 3.11 inches between the grooves (this pin is solid like the original).

They are both pricey at around $40 each, but do appear to be available from Deere if you don't find a better solution.

Bob, I have several 45 loaders and a 45W as well as at least two other 45s for parts.

You could easily make the pin or have someone with machining capabilities make one for you.

The old parts cat. lists that pin as 1 1/8 " x 2 15/16. My loaders have the grease zerk in the cylinder end that the pin goes through.

I took some pics of a well worn pin that I could remove with my fingers, usually they are tough to remove due to ware as you know.

Here are some pics I took of the pin and breathers.

As you can see my pin is well worn.

My 45W came off a 530 and the breathers were in use. I installed return hoses in place of the breathers and have had problems ever since. The plan is to go back to using one set of hoses and install the breathers.

Sorry I did not remove the breathers from those plastic caps, my fingers were just too cold. They are just a" sintered breather cap", google will show what they look like and where to get them. Brand I found is LC LICTOP brass sintered bronze breather vent.
