949 John Deere M Touchomatic - what do I have here?

The seat base on my '49 M is all bent up. I've straightened it the best I can, but the right side support is cracked and will need welding.
The pictures I see on the internet show a seat base/toolbox AM 477T however I don't think this would fit with what I currently have. The toolbox wouldn't clear the top of the touchomatic assy.
Any thoughts on this? Maybe a later model touchomatic fitted over the years?
Photo 1 is what I have
Photo 2 is what a '49 should have.

The pic doesn't show your seat,
only the front rail. You need a
better picture.

I have never seen an M with the
toolbox even though it was offered
as an option. The toolbox would be
in the way if converted to a three
point hitch. I also have never seen
an M seat that wasn't bent so I
wouldn't worry about it. Weld it
and call it good. If you look close
at your 2nd pic the rear rivet is
gone and a screw in its place. I
have a couple with the same repair.

My M has the built in tool box. And yes if converted to a 3 point they can get destroyed. Luckily mine had only slight damage. The 3 point conversions works better on MT models.

The touchomatic top and front, as well as the hydraulic connections, look different in picture 2 compared to what I have in picture 1. Mine also has an oil filler and breather cap, which doesn't allow the seat to come all the way forward. Thus the question.
There are several vendors on the net selling repro seat base assemblies that include a toolbox. They claim to be good for M models up to 46,204.
I agree.... just weld it up, straighten everything and move on Thanks for the help.

Underside of current seat frame. As much as I like the idea of a toolbox, I don't think that arrangement would fit. Seems like rockshaft would be in the way.

(quoted from post at 20:41:15 01/18/23) The rockshaft is forward of the compartment, and arms are outset enough to clear it:

Thanks for the pix. Makes sense. May go this route rather than try and repair the existing mounts. Repop seat frame bases are kinda pricey, though.

If you want dimensions I can probably get most of it without removing anything but the seat cushion. A sheet metal brake would probably be all anyone would need to fold up a replacement. An elliptical cut for the breather cap, some holes for the screws, and a rattle-can of green could get it done.
