320 ignition switch

Im having a little trouble re wiring a new switch for my 56 320. The old one was off when switch was all the way to left then lights as you went around. The way I have it wired nothing is hot until the lights come on. 3 clicks to the right. Im sure I have something mixed up. I do have a diagram but its not much help. I have attached a picture for reference. Thanks in advance for help. Blue on left is ignition. Green in middle is front lights. One on bottom is fuse

To start with, ASSUMING the fused wire is ''battery power'' it needs to be connected to the terminal on the center brass ''ring'', the ''BATT'' connection.

If you GOOGLE ''AM1866T'' some images of switches with the terminals marked will come up.

I think your battery wire belongs where you have the green wire. It looks like I can see part of BAT when I enlarged the picture. The ignition wire looks like the right place. It should have IGN embossed in the back of the switch next to that terminal. The other terminals will be the lights, look closely for markings in the back next to each terminal.

RED to ammeter.

BLUE to coil.

GREEN to head lights.

BLACK to dash lamp.

BLUE/BLACK to alternator terminal 1.
