JD 620 torque specs

There are charts online which specify torques for bolts of all sizes, fine thread and course thread, oiled and dry. These charts provide accurate torque values which mirror manufacturers
specifications. Chart example: https://www.lawsonproducts.com/media/cache/pdfs/REF-FS12_AD.pdf

Thanks, this helps for regular bolts. I'm also trying to figure out the torque on the steering idler-arm bolts that attach to the steering pedestal.

(quoted from post at 16:25:37 01/14/23) Is there a site that I can view the nut/bolt torque specs for 1957 JD 620?

The ''Two Cylinder Power Steering Manual'' says 275 foot pounds when the tricycle lower pedestal is attached, I would ASSUME it would be the same for the ''steering gear arm bolts'' when a wide front is used as they thread into the same holes.

There is no service manual for a 620.
Deere refers you to the 60 manual. There
are torque specs given in john deere
service bulletins in the 58 or 59 year for
the 520, 620, and 720.

When I work on my 620 I use torque specs from SM2008 which is for a model 60. If I'm wondering what the correct procedure is for something (like fixing a later style PTO clutch) I use the service manual for a 720 gas SM2025
