Rear tire spacing question

I recently purchased a JD 2940, and the left rear tire is 2 inches further out than the right tire. Ive never seen this before. Id like to have the width the same as our other row crop JDs. Is there any reason the tires on this 2940 would not be equidistant from the center, and the left tire 2 inches further out? Thanks in advance for your help.

My 4020 is like that, and the reason is pretty obvious. Somebody before me broke off one of the pusher bolts on the hub, and decided it was too much trouble to drill it out and fix it. Like you, I'd like to fix it and move the tire to be the same as the other, but moving the clamp is a bad enough project when everything works as intended. It's not really hurting anything as it is. It's probably just coincidental that in my case, the left rear is out about the same as yours.

I dont know what the history of tractor is, I may use it for some plowing though. Mostly cutting hay with a discbine, some baling hay, other general farm duties
