Sorry if this has come up a lot, but I'm trying to figure out what suitcase weights will work on the front of my 4020 diesel. I've found JD part no R58823 in some online ads. Is that the right one I should use?
I have a factory loader bucket on it and only need it for weight to counter balance the tedder I use. It's a pain in the butt because it always drifts down over time and I have to uncouple the implement hyd hoses on the back and plug in the bucket ones to raise it up again. I don't know if the problem is in the lift cylinders or the control valve. I suspect valve because I just had one cylinder re-sealed as it was leaking. I don't know for sure though. Switching to weights will let me remove the loader and the headache. Also shorten the tractor for easier winter storage.
Thanks, Brad
