Value of tractor

Good Morning,
Im new to the JD forum, my mother in law passed away recently and we have a JD 5420 tractor with cab, loader w bucket and bale spike, with approx. 1500 hrs on it. Is in good shape rubber is 80% but have no idea what to ask for this tractor when trying to sell it. I would appreciate any help you may offer of pricing. I live in Mid Mo

I would recommend checking web sites like tractorhouse.com and fastline that are dedicated to newer equipment.

Visit a few local dealers. Tell a salesman your LOOKING for a pre emission cab/loader tractor with under 2000 hours. You'll find out pretty quickly what they go for.

Back in 2004, that tractor by-it-self sold new like yours for $28000... Saw this tractor with most of your equipment at farm-sale in November this year central Minnesota that sold for 39000.00..

Recommend that you look at Tratorhouse.com and see what dealers are asking for comparable / like tractors. There should be same models listed. This will be worth pretty good money!

Think those are a pretty popular tractor for those who want to move some horse poop and maybe a few bales of hay. Might also try machinery pete for prices. My son had a 5510 MFWD with loader and 3-pt. Upgraded to a 6000 series for more weight and lifting capacity, etc.
