Good afternoon All,
I have a John Deere 855 with a 70 series loader attachment and have been having issues with the lift function on the loader. the bucket cylinders work fine and will lift the tractor up off the ground but the lift side of the main lift cylinders will not lift at all only make a squeal noise from the valve bank. i did swap the quick lines around and the problem followed ( swap bucket for Lift arms) so that tells me it is isolated to the one valve. i took the valve body off and completely disassembled and cleaned. i replaced all of the o-rings with new ones and re installed on tractor. it did work properly for about 3 cycles now the same problem is back. could this be a bad spool valve or valve body?

When you say you swapped the lines to the other spools (Lift to bucket and bucket to lift) and the problem followed, I interpret that as the problem followed the hoses since the hoses moved locations, not the valve. If the problem remained when lifting after you swapped the hoses, you have a hose or quick coupler problem in the lift circuit. If the problem stayed with the lift spool valve, so the bucket was the problem after the swap, it could be a problem with one of the quick couplers on the valve side connections being worn and not letting fluid past. So, does the problem follow the hoses (i.e., lift doesn't work on the bucket spool) or does it stay with the lift spool (i.e., the bucket stops working when connected to the lift spool)?
