Width between wheels JD 40S?

I have to go pick up my John Deere 40S tomorrow. The trailer I have access to is an open pit trailer. I was hoping someone here could tell me the width between the wheels so I can have some confidence it will go on the trailer.
Thanks

Building on what PeterE said if you take the max tread width and add the width of one tire (about 12 in this case, assuming stock tires) you get a max overall width of around 67 inches.

Guessing you mean a trailer with just decking for the tires, not a full center deck, when you say open pit. The published wheel treads for front and rear, minus the width of one tire would tell you how much of an opening it will straddle with the tires adjusted to the minimum width. It could straddle the tread width if you load straight on and can deal with only half of the tire width, on each side, on the deck. Can you take some planks along in case you need to fill the opening in some?

Measurements of the actual tractor is the correct answer. Can you call the seller and ask them to measure it before you head out after it? You need front, as well as rear, measurements.
