Deere has the best and most overpriced. There are some differences in the aftermarket ones but even the worst one will last 20 years or more. Tom

I agree with Tomstractors. I bought a battery box for a 2510 from Jd and an aftermarket version for a different 2510. The Jd was definitely better built but quite a bit more expensive. The aftermarket version is lighter weight and occasionally binds up trying to open. The jd has the mounting brackets welded in place and the am are bolted on. Both are usable but in my opinion if you can justify the price difference I'd opt for the jd. It's your money but I would probably stay away from the cheapest offerings.

This may be to late to help.. but I bought an after market battery box and had to do a lot of grinding and other manipulation to get it to fit properly.. still only attaches on one end. If I had it to do over again I would probably go with JD. That said, I will probably never need another box as the other side had been replaced by a similar unit and both will probably last my life time.
