2510 slow lift arms

My search for a 2510/2520 continues and yesterday I went to look at another 2510 candidate. This is a 1966 wide front diesel SR. It will need both rear and one front tire, the alternator light is on dimly, and the lift arms raised quite slowly. Are there any common issues known to this model that would cause this symptom?
Tom, any additional info on that 2520 your buddy in Charlestown, WV was looking to get rid of?

Slow and jerky?

Was your foot holding the clutch down when trying it out?

Does it have the small 4 piston hydraulic pump?

Just slow. Maybe 10 seconds from lowered to full raised.

My foot was not on the clutch.

It appears to have the original 4 piston pump.
 
A question about the slow lift arms. Were they just slow the first time or did you cycle them several times? The small hyd pump is not my
favorite but they do provide enough hyds. It would be interesting to put a pressure guage in the remotes to check pressure. Do not be afraid
of a tractor with the small pump but if the pump ever gives any problems do not spend any money on it, update to the 8 piston 3020-4020 pump.

Tom,
I cycled them several times, both unloaded and with a 5 foot bush hog mounted. The load didn t make a difference.
BTW, I sent you an email.
